Ukraine Hopes to Open Nine Humanitarian Corridors
Ukraine’s government hopes to open nine humanitarian corridors on Tuesday, Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshchuk reported.
So far, 150,000 civilians have been evacuated from cities where fighting is taking place via special escape routes.
More than 4,000 people were taken to safer areas on Monday. The government then hoped to open ten humanitarian corridors, but eventually seven.
She accused Russian troops of shooting civilians, something Russia denies, which prevented evacuations everywhere.
