More Than 100 Million Devices With Amazon’s Voice Assistant Alexa Sold
More Than 100 million Devices with Amazon’s voice assistant Alexa Sold. Since November 2014, more than one hundred million devices have been sold with Alexa, the virtual assistant of retail giant Amazon.
That says Amazon’s primary products and services Dave Limp.
With Alexa, users can give commands to products with a built-in microphone.
For example, a user can play music on a speaker, set the alarm or request information.
The voice assistant is available in English, German and French.
Amazon itself sells products with Alexa, such as the Echo speaker,
but also gives other manufacturers reach to the virtual assistant.
They can therefore also process the technology in their gadgets.
According to Limp, this leads to good and bad products, he states.
He says he is not worried that the bad products will damage the Alexa brand,
as long as there is a good example of every category of products.
Apple, Google and Microsoft are also operating on their voice assistant.
Siri from Apple and the Google Assistant are also available in Dutch.
