Russian Troops Leave Occupied City at Chernobyl Plant

Russian troops have left the Ukrainian city of Slavutich a few days after its occupation, the mayor said. Staff from the old Chernobyl nuclear power plant live in its place.
Mayor Yuri Fomichev says on Monday that the Russian soldiers left after searching Slavoetich.
On Saturday, the regional governor said that the city had been taken, and Russian troops had kidnapped the mayor. Residents had demonstrated against the occupation.
Slavutich is located in the north of Ukraine, near the border with Belarus. The city is located in the Kyiv region.
