Airline KLM is Working on A Recovery Plan to Guide Society Through the Crisis
Airline KLM is working on a recovery plan to guide society through the crisis. The company reported this in response to the government’s EUR 3.4 billion aid package.
Among other things, agreements were made about a restructuring plan.
The plan aims to review KLM’s current operations and adapt society to changing economic realities.
As yet, nothing has been released in the statement about possible job cuts. It is said to be 6,000 of the 30,000 jobs at risk from the company.
KLM boss Pieter Elbers emphasized once again that KLM is in a crisis of unprecedented magnitude due to the haunting coronavirus.
He also said that the aid package has “drastic conditions”. This will be fleshed out in the coming period.
