“Google Arranges Case Of Children’s Data On YouTube”
“Google Arranges case of Children’s Data on YouTube.” Google is said to have a privacy case about the YouTube video service for more than 150 million dollars.
The case was about collecting data from children under the age of 13.
The settlement may be officially announced next week with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regulator, insiders informed.
Several interest groups accused YouTube of illegally collecting information from children under the age of 13.
The video service would also have shared that data with other parties without the parents’ consent.
Both are prohibited in the United States, and so they asked the FTC to investigate.
YouTube Kids app
YouTube maintained for a long time that children use the service under the supervision of a parent because it is stated in terms of use.
In recent years, YouTube has tried to create a safer environment for children.
For example, the service came with a special YouTube Kids app and set out personalized advertisements on children’s video channels.
