Number of New German Corona Infections Again Above 2000
The number of registered coronavirus infections in Germany has increased by more than 2,000 cases for the second day in a row.
According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the German counterpart of the RIVM, 2,153 infections were diagnosed in the past 24 hours.
That is ten more compared to the day before when it concerned 2,143 infections. On Wednesday 1769, more cases were reported.
The number of new infections is again close to the record value of the 2,297 cases reported by the RKI on Saturday.
The total number of registered infections in Germany now amounts to 280,223. In the past 24 hours, fifteen people died as a result of an infection with the lung virus.
The German death toll now stands at 9443.
