Germany Registers 446 New Corona Infections
The authorities in Germany reported 446 new corona infections to the Robert Koch-Institut (RKI), RIVM’s German counterpart, in the past day.
That is less than the day before when 503 new infections were reported.
Since the start of the corona crisis, 195,674 people in Germany have contracted the coronavirus.
According to RKI, 9003 people infected with the virus died in Germany, an increase of 9 compared to the previous day.
The institute estimates that approximately 181,000 people survived the infection. That’s about 70 more than a day earlier.
According to RKI estimates, the number of reproductions, or R value for short, was 0.83 on June 29 (previous day: 0.86). That figure means that 100 people infect an average of 83 others.
