Eight Killed in Taliban Bombing in Northwest Pakistan
A former pro-government militia leader and seven other people have been killed in a bomb attack claimed by a local branch of the Taliban in northwestern Pakistan.
This was announced by the police on Wednesday.
The attack took place on Tuesday in Kabal, in the Swat Valley. Idrees Khan, a former leader of a militia fighting the Taliban, was killed when his pickup was blown up by an explosive device placed by the road.
Seven other people, including two officers, were also killed, police said.
