Chip Shortages Hinder Sales of Company Cars
Due to chip shortages, commercial vehicle manufacturers sold fewer vehicles last month than a year earlier.
Vans, in particular, were registered less often, the European trade association ACEA reported. Medium and heavy trucks and buses also sold less. Nevertheless, in the first nine months of this year, sales are still significantly higher than in 2020.
Sales of all commercial vehicles in September were about one eighth lower than in September last year. Light commercial vehicles were even sold 13.6 percent less.company cars.
