Sign of the Life of North Korean Dictator Kim Jong-un
After several days of tension over the health condition of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un, there is another sign of life.
North Korean state news agency KCNA reports that Kim thanked Syrian President Assad for his congratulations on a national holiday.
The state media has so far remained silent after fierce speculation about Kim’s deteriorating health condition.
South Korean media reported earlier this week that Kim is struggling with health following medical treatment for cardiovascular disease last week.
The United States, once the arch-enemy of the communist country, announced that it was closely monitoring the situation. President Donald Trump said he hopes he is doing well.
According to a defected North Korean diplomat, state media are usually quick to quell rumours.
Whenever there are doubts about Kim, North Korea takes action within a few days to demonstrate that he is alive and healthy, the diplomat said.
