Russian Army Claims to Take Ukrainian City of Kherson
According to the Russian Defence Ministry, the Ukrainian port city of Kherson has been completely occupied by Russian troops.
The city of 285,000 inhabitants is located on the Dnieper River, near the Black Sea.
If the claim is correct, Kherson is the first major city to be completely occupied by the Russians during their attack on the neighbouring country that began Thursday.
