Hamas and Israeli Hostage Celebrate Releases

The Palestinian movement Hamas has celebrated the release of ninety Palestinian prisoners.
British-Israeli Emily Damari, who Hamas held, is also relieved that she was able to return home. “I am the happiest person in the world,” she wrote on Instagram.
“Love, love, love,” Damari’s account reads, according to news site The Times of Israel. “I have my precious life back.” Damari, one of the three hostages who was released on Sunday, thanked her family and friends for their support and said her heart has “exploded with joy.”
Hamas has congratulated the Palestinian people on the “liberation” of the Palestinian prisoners who arrived in the Gaza Strip last night. They were greeted with cheers.
According to Hamas, the prisoners showed signs of neglect and exhaustion. The three hostages were in relatively good health, according to the Red Cross.
