Wreck of Missing Plane Found in Himalayas, Says Nepalese Army
The wreckage of the plane that went missing on Sunday with 22 people on board was found in the Himalayas in Nepal on Monday. An army spokesman said.
The device was recovered in Sanosware, Mustang district. “Rescue teams have located the site of the plane crash,” the army spokesman said.
The fate of the 22 occupants is not yet known.
The plane of the private airline Tara Air was flying between the tourist town of Pokhara and Jomsom, a town 70 kilometres north when contact was lost. There were 3 crew members and 19 passengers on board.
