Trump Demands Action in Seattle Against Autonomous Zone Again
US President Donald Trump sees the protests in Seattle get out of hand and has again threatened with measures from his government.
“If they don’t fix the situation, we’ll fix it,” Trump told Fox News on Thursday evening (local time).
According to the president, the governor could also solve the situation by deploying the national guard. Trump: “It’s pathetic.
No, no, we won’t let that happen in Seattle. If we have to intervene, we will intervene.”
After a few days of riots, activists and protesters in the hip neighbourhood of Capitol Hill have an area, which they call the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone.
The police hardly show up there anymore. The activists have blocked roads and call it a police-free zone.
“We will not allow anarchists to occupy Seattle. And I don’t call them protesters,” Trump said.
