Microsoft is participating in a new investment round in Cruise.
Together with Honda and General Motors, among others, the tech giant is investing 2 billion in the maker of self-driving cars. This makes Cruise itself worth about $ 30 billion.
The two companies also enter into a ‘strategic relationship’. All this means that Cruise will use Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform.
On the other hand, Microsoft should help Cruise to gain a foothold in the transport sector.
