Huawei Gives Russian Staff a Month’s Leave
Chinese telecom giant Huawei is obligated to send its staff to Russia on leave for a month. As a result, the company is no longer enchanting new orders.
This is reported by Forbes Russia, citing anonymous sources close to Huawei, an employee of a distribution company and an employee of a mobile operator.
Russia’s Izvestia previously reported that Huawei is no longer signing new contracts in Russia to supply equipment to mobile operators.
“There are no orders, so why should people come to the office? Leave will be extended in a month’s time, or employees will return,” a source told Forbes Russia. Huawei employees in Russia with Chinese nationality would still go to the office, the source added.
An employee of a distribution company reports that Huawei has also reduced the occupation of its marketing department in Russia. Huawei declined to comment on the report to Forbes Russia.
