Lithuania Wants International Criminal Court Investigation into Ukraine Invasion
Lithuania has asked the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague to investigate Russian and Belarusian war crimes and crimes against humanity in Ukraine.
Justice Minister Evelina Dobrovolska reports that that step was taken on Monday.
Ukraine itself already went to the International Court of Justice on Sunday, also in The Hague.
President Volodimir Zelensky wants the United Nations’ main legal body to rule on the invasion because Russia invaded Ukraine over false charges of genocide.
