Unilever Addresses Rising Raw Material Prices in Data Update
Laundry and food group Unilever will publish its third-quarter results on Thursday. The focus will be on, among other things, the impact of the rise in raw material prices on the company and the global logistics problems.
These could put pressure on Unilever’s profitability.
This concerns, for example, costs for soybeans and palm oil, but also for packaging. The company indicated in the update of the figures for the second quarter that the profit margin this year will therefore probably be equal to that of 2020.
A slight increase was previously expected. Analysts generally expect that the company’s turnover in the third quarter rose by 3 percent to 13.3 billion euros.
