Doctors in Omsk Say They Saved Navalny’s Life
The doctors in the Siberian city of Omsk who first treated Russian anti-corruption fighter and politician Alexei Navalny say they saved his life.
Navalny suddenly fell seriously ill on Thursday on a plane bound for Moscow and lost consciousness.
According to family and employees of Navalny, he has been poisoned. After two days in the hospital in Omsk, Navalny flew to Berlin for further treatment.
He is now in the academic Charité hospital.
The doctors in Omsk say that the Berlin hospital has thanked them and promised to keep them informed of the condition of 44-year-old Navalny, a fierce critic of President Putin and influential administrators and magnates.
