Hundreds of protesters have retaken to the streets to protest the death of a 46-year-old black man after his arrest by police.
The police station was stormed, and several buildings were set on fire. US President Donald Trump accuses the mayor of “lack of leadership”. In a tweet from Trump about the situation, a warning from Twitter has appeared again.
At dawn, a CNN reporter was arrested by the riot police, who are present in large numbers and who regularly intervene in the groups of demonstrators.
The CNN journalist was just working on a live report when officers surrounded him and his crew, eventually shackling and taking them away.
According to the agents, the reporters did not want to leave, although they were asked to do so. In the meantime, the journalist and his team have been rereleased.
The Minnesota governor called the arrests “unacceptable” and apologized for them.
