Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Leave The Foundation
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry leave the Foundation with William and Kate. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have decided not to continue with the charity, the Royal Foundation, which they run together with Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Instead, they set up their foundation.
That confirms the British royal family after rumours had been going on for some time that the prince and his wife would leave the charity.
The change in organisational composition has been made because the current structure is not optimal,
according to the statement given on Thursday.
Details about the foundation that Markle and the prince will set up have not been announced yet.
It is apparent, however, that the two couples will continue to work together on charities in the future.
Markle joined the institution in May 2018, after her marriage to Harry.
The Royal Foundation was founded in September 2009 by the brothers William and Harry,
and is used for all charitable activities that they undertake.
It includes issues in the field of youth, the elderly, art and sports.
The Invictus Games, the annual sporting event for soldiers and veterans,
who are mentally or physically wounded in the army,
is also organised under the aegis of The Royal Foundation.
